How it all started ...

When Ludwig Friedrich Carl Büsing and Friedrich Ludwig Fasch – at the age of only 28 and 29 – decide in 1883 to set up a trading company for dyed woods, chemicals and oils, Oldenburg is under the Rule of Peter II. (Grand Duke Nikolaus Friedrich Peter). Dietrich Roggemann is mayor and the city has a population of 19,000 (now almost 170,000). The two cousins become business partners too and buy a plot of land near the station – 11 Bahnhofstrasse – for the sum of 50,000 Goldmarks. Now it can all begin!
